Unhappy A Little Help Please!!!!!!!!!!!

I am looking at swaping my 3.8L camaro motor for a 5.3 or Ls1. I have gotten some great advice so far I emailed a company that some one used on here to get there parts, to get some questions answered. He basically said that it was not worth doing and very complicated. If you want a copy of the email I will post it, but know I am not sure what to think. I have turned wrenches for a good while, graduated from UTI (dont laugh), and from what some of the people I know they said they have seen it done. Do I proceed or is the going to be outragiously expensive to swap this myself. Thanks

Talking 1998

The car is a 98 , red hard top, base, manual locks and windows. I think the care is pretty light so thats why I wanted to do the swap.

All of the parts can be found in the junk yards or from a donner car. The K-member would make it a simple swap. For this swap, i would suggest finding a donner car and then sell off the remaining part. That way you will have all of the wiring and parts that need to be used for the V8 swap.
