had to post this, sorry

my brothers 06 cobalt has a turbo conversion on it and dynoed 320whp with 346 ftlbs of torque and this is what this kid said:

"haha cobalt smokin an sti now thats funny tell that cobalt to come play with my 520hp mustang and Haze i hear ya on something faster try the new GTR skyline
its got a 5.0L V8 cobra, roller rockers, h pipes, BBK headers, and a short throw shifter, and 2 10lb nitrous bottles putting out 520hp at the rear wheels"

damn high school kids talking up their mustangs and dont know anything about them haha

im not a huge fan of the cobalts just cuz theyre tiny 4 cylinders, but my brothers car is a fast car

any kid with a old fox body and a exhaust thinks there ***** fast but stock for stock the little cobalt would put the shack down on that slow *** ford junk!

I wasn't driving the hawk at the time, but some idiot in an 80's stang (that sounded like it didn't have headers) was playing with me and a cop going the other way saw-heard it, turned around and pulled him over. I felt good for some reason haha.

Your brothers cobalt runs low 12's? I am calling bs.

I happen to post a lot over at cobaltss.net seeing as a lot of my friends own them... the quickest ET non drag car cobalt is a 12.756@108.92, that is an LSJ balt (Supercharged)

There is a turbo swapped LSJ putting down over 400whp that went 12.84@114.90

Fastest factory turbo balt is 12.806@113.83

yea my buddy that cant drive a manual for dogshit turned a 13.1 completely bone stock down to the paper air filter. i like them. they are comfortable cars and can hold their own. its just the warranty on those are almost as bad as the new skylines. my buddy can put a exhaust on it and not void the warranty but cant put a intake on it. does anyone have a word if chevy will start a mods company that wont void the warranty. like the S.R.T.4s have mopar performance all the way up to like 400hp or something stupid like that.

No he didn't. The fastest stock Cobalt SS T/C is 13.56 @ 104.

And my car makes 700 RWHP because I have 3 bottles in the trunk. And BBK roller rockers. And an X-pipe!

my bad...he has a turbo conversion cobalt but never got a full run out...the 2nd run he got with the kit in he blew an axle and was on street tires (hence him not hooking up at all on his first run) but yea he hasnt run low 12s yet but hes shooting for them on the 22nd at lebanon valley

I am still doubtful... Paul put down 414whp on a mustang dyno in his turbo swapped LSJ Cobalt SS and ran 12.84@114

yea but i heard he was going easy cuz he didnt want to blow his transmission and wasnt running tubes in his tires...regardless, hp is only half of race, you gotta be able to get traction to use that power haha

bro if you can make 414whp in a little car like a colbalt an only run 12.8 your a non-driver we all know that a 114 mph should be around a 11.9 to 12.2 1/4 mile with a good 60ft. if he was running street tires then 12.8 was a good # with a set of dr's it would be a rap! low 12's to high 11's all day

yea plus my brother trapped 110 spinning his tires through 2nd gear before he broke at the track, so thats why i thought he would be close to low 12s
