Default Oil Pan gasket

Can you replace the oil pan gasket with the motor still in the car? I have my trans out and my oil pan has been leeking bad so I figured this would be the best time to replace it if it can be done.

i hook the engine to the engine hoist. unbolt the motor mounts, unbolt the steering linkage, and unbolt the k-member and dropped it down couple inches to reach the oil pan bolts. the engine was still in the car but unbolted to the k-member.

Ya I was afraid that it was going to be something like that I was looking and it didn't look like there was any way to do it without "pulling" the motor so to speak.

It really does make one wonder... for the most part, GM has always made things "relatively" doable for the home mechanic... then you get to the F-bodies and it's a ******* nightmare.
