Question how to and part number for T/A front turnsignal sockets?

Anyone with the parts number for the turn signal sockets? Mine are suffering the usual rusted out light socket issue now. Also think I remember hearing best bet is to cut the original wires and use some spiffy connectors to connect the new socket.

There a good place online to purchase said sockets and connectors? gmpartsdirect? will have to get the connectors from radioshack or the likes. :hmm:

When you get the OEM sockets you have to cut off the old one, and splice the new one with the supplied connectors. Your thinking of the harness connector for the headlight/motor that I and alot of people recommend cutting off.

You can go to autozone and buy the sockets. I believe they were $7 a piece. They are GM stop and turn sockets. I replaced mine a few days ago. Just cut and splice.

no need to cut the wires, just follow these instructions. Buy the $7 harness from the autparts store.

I did this back in 2004, and installed smoked plexiglass over the turn signals, and have had no issues since.
