I am working on rebuilding an engine and was wondering how do you cean the nastied up parts just about every part has a film on it. is there any good way without a parts washer, or a specific solution that you found that works well?
Thanks for all the advise i'd be lost without the forum! or atleast a lot further behind.

I'm partial to kerosene. Works great for thread cutting and glaze breaking as well!
Oh yeah, I would think it's obvious, but I should say it anyway. BE CAREFUL because it is flammable. If you take the proper precautions it'll be fine.
