Default MA pepple: I need inspection help

Went to get my car inspected yesterday, and the guy couldnt get his scanner to hook up to the car. Obviously, this is becuase the car is a 97, but has an OBD1 computer. I tried to show him with my scanner that there were no codes, and that it was an OBD1 computer, but he didnt understand. He wouldnt even give me a failed sticker which would atleast give me 60 days. What am i supposed to do? Anybody know of anyone who could hook me up with a sticker? Dont really know what to do in this situation and i hate driving around without that sticker

I don't think its possible to get hooked up w/ a legit sticker, 96+ needs to be able to hook up to the computer and can't throw codes. I know places that will hook it up if your 95 and below or w/ the visual/safety aspect but they can't help out us OBDII guys when it comes to the computer.
is there an OBDI>OBDII adapter maybe?
