Default Just got an SS Vert....

Hello, I'm brand new to the site and just picked up a 40K mile SLP SS Convertible M6. Iv'e been a member of www.ls1.com for years since back in 02 when I had my WS6. My father owns a salvage titled 99 SS M6 and my brother just recently picked up an 02 M6 T/A. I also own an 87 Turbo Regal and my daily driver is a Grand Am. I was looking for something I could drive AND enjoy. The Buick isn't much of an everyday driver and the Grand am is kind of a beater.
This car kept winking at me everytime I visited Autotrader. It was for sale at a local dealer but they wouldn't come down on the price. I guess the manager was in a good mood one day because they called me out of the blue and accepted my original offer form weeks ago.
I was told it was an SLP SS which (I was told again) was Chevy's version of the Firehawk. There are a couple of goodies (like the "Camaro SS" floor mats and exhaust that look to be rare options. Also, there are SLP stickers on the inside of each door that have faded printing on them so I don't know what options SLP really slapped on it. I heard it might even have an Auburn rear.
Anyhow, I'm proud to be a member and here are some pics:

Default More pics

MYSLPSS is my brother. I picked up an '02 TA vert last month. I swung by my dad's house to put my Grand National away and realized that we had a lot of The General's hardware so we snapped some pics. My GN is on one end, and MYSLPSS' Turbo T is on the other end. The red SS is my dads, the TA is mine. Dad has a '67 Vette in that garage, too. Too bad we didn't have MYSLPSS' Camaro in the pic.
