Default HELP! Having trouble taking the rear output shaft seal out

I had my car at the shop a few weeks ago for R&R of the T56. While there they replaced the rear seal because it was leaking slightly, with a seal from a chain parts store not a GM seal. Well when I got the car back after a few days I noted the output shaft seal was weeping a bit despite the new seal so I got a another new seal to put in it.

The problem is, I can't get the old seal out now. I don't have a seal popper so I've just been using a flathead screw driver, hooked under the inner edge of the seal between the seal and the output shaft. It's bending the inner part of the seal out but the seal itself is staying put, and I'm putting enough force behind it to bend my screwdrivers.

Here's a pic with how it sits now:

Anything else I can try to get this thing out??

Old wood chisel between the rear of the trans, and the lip of the seal.. Angle towards the lip of the seal when working it out, so you won't damage the trans.

Thanks Mike, I didn't use a wood chisel but this is the way it came out.
