Default I need some help

I just bought a 99 z-28 and the guy said there is 4.10 in her but doesn't what kind it is. Is there a way i can take the cover off and tell what type it is?

i dont know if the gears have company names on them? prolly serial numbers along the outer edge of the ring gear that you could try to figure out.

I kno richmond gear puts their name on it, I'd imagine any of the bigger companies would do the same.

i had a motive, summit and jegs gear setups neither of them had a company name on them

he's right, i looked at a set of Motives yesterday and there was no name on them. It did have Motive's part number on it though.
