New GM slave already leaking!!!
So when I did my clutch swap about 5 months ago I bought a new GM slave with my Tick MC that I had bought.
Since I dont really drive my car too often I find it hard to believe that it should already be leaking. It has been leaking from the get go. This is the third time I have dropped the tranny for having a mysterious fluid coming from the bel housing. So after deterimining the only thing that is able to be leaking is the slave.
So since my slave is only a few months old and only has a couple thousand mile on it, I figure this is some bullshit that its leaking.
Im thinking hey! No big deal. I see Tick is a great group of guys and they will help me get my situation figured out. I was told that they cant help my situation.
I cant believe that I am going to have to spend even more money to buy a new slave that will possibly leak, again. Even though this one is still brand new.
Im not bashing on Tick. I just think they can do more to help me out.

Are you positive its the slave leaking? Any chance it could be oil from the rear main seal?
Just another thought.
Good Luck
Dave
Oh and buy slave cylinders from advance auto parts or autozone. When they **** up bring them back under warranty. Autozone has lifetime on almost anything they sell including wearable items....like brake pads, which I think is hilarious

Yes. I am 100%
You an see residue on the bottom of the slave. Where the fluid was in the trans, there was no way for it to be oil.
Plus, I took the clutch off and the only thing behind it was clutch dust.

I've been wasting money with plates on a car I can't drive right now... I'm starting with a Tick MC and hopefully that works but if not I'm scared I too will have to screw around with the slave cylinder... I can't believe someone hasn't come out with a strong aftermarket one yet.
