Default Friday 5-22-09 results (MIR 1/8 mile Drag Radial "Real Street")

Qual 1...blew tires off at the hit...coast to a 7.0 (1/8)

Qual 2...backed the car down a bit...5.33 @ 140 (1.374 60') qualified #5 of 13

http://home.comcast.net/~tfranklin55...5p33_small.wmv

Rd 1...turned up the heat a bit in the middle...(1.386 60') blew tires off at 100' in the run (lose the round)

http://home.comcast.net/~tfranklin55...spin_small.wmv

Test and Tune pass...same tuneup, a little more suspension travel up front...1.341 60' but spun about 125-150' out (track went away...Stine spun in the same part of the track moments before)

Oh well...we were trying for the 7.x 1/4 mile ET on that last pass...but track wouldn't take it

sucks to here going out early but at your level the track is so key compared to a 11 sec car

good luck in the up coming testing .... nice 60 though of 1.34

I was pretty happy with the results last night. We didn't get ANY data on the first pass but we got the staging technique down. I wish we had added the travel for the first round and been able to adjust the shocks for the last hit which should have been pretty good. Last hit just barley hazed the tires. It was interesting was the car went a 1.38 60' on a soft tuneup and the only thing we did was added the travel and it dropped to a 1.34 and the suspension still didn't look like it was working.

And from the basics we did last night the car has some serious potiential.

I can say i'm really happy,if we would have had a little better track and or another run the 7's were for sure.
run a new best 60ft
run a new best 1/8 mile et
and showed up with a knife at a gun fight and qualified number 5 in a field of 600'' motors with a baby 366.

Couldn't agree more. I think I found some stuff today on the power management that we'll employ next time, should make it alittle easier. We just need to get the chassis adjustability there which should be fixed before the next day.

Amazing runs & tire spin!

Is the car heavy and need to loose more weight?

car is very heavy...3497 to be exact

Based on my Log data, the last 2 runs, where the car spun, it was going ~7mph faster at 1 1/2 seconds into the run than the 5.33 @ 140 pass

You guys should bring that car down here on june 20th to Peidmontdragway. They are having a 275 drag radial class and there will be some bas *** cars there. That track will hold that car. RPM will most likely be there with their black car and there will be a few turbo mustangs there. They will be running in the 5.30 -.40 range. I think it is free to enter and it pays out like 500.00 to win. I will check and post a link up.
