Default lost oil pump, now having low power/stumbling issues

the oil pump went out on the car last week suddenly, and it ran for probably a minute with no oil pressure (luckily only between idle - 1500rpm). I got the oil pump swapped out, but now it has an occasional tick in what sounds like the valvetrain, I found 3 what look like needle bearings in the oil (not from the rockers, pulled them all and checked) and the car is really low on power and shakes/vibrates/stumbles at almost all RPM (it gets a little better the higher in RPM you go). The idle is still as choppy as ever, so I don't think I wiped the cam out, and theres no big knocking when running, so I don't think I spun a bearing. Before I pull the heads and look at the lifters, is there any other places needle bearings could be coming from? Has anyone ever experienced this kind of vibration when running?

thanks in advance,
