Default New best trap and some excellent results

My previous bests were at an LVD rental last October in 55 degree weather. 11.7s at 117 with 1.6 60's. Over the winter I rebuilt the MN12 trans and then just had a cutout installed and tuned for it open. It picked up 8 rwhp and 12 rwtq peak but anywhere from 5-20 rwtq over the entire curve so I was hoping for some new bests.

Well, we got to the track and it was 85 degrees so I figured I'd be running slow. Turns out I was able to match all my bests (1/4, 1/8, both traps, and the 60') almost exactly and even got a new best trap by .02! 117.47 vs 117.45 previous. Although I didn't technically run any better than last time, the fact that I was able to match all my bests in every category but in 30 degree warmer weather shows an improvement to me.

I'll be heading back to a rental in the Fall, hopefully in some cooler weather for new bests.

Oh btw, the car is a mild H/C setup (243s and a 224/228, stock LS6 intake and ported TB, bolt-ons) with a heavy drivetrain (MN12 trans, 12-bolt with 4.10s, 3.5" driveshaft), FULL WEIGHT. I ran the stock 17" SS 5-spokes on the front and 16" stockers on the back with 26x10.5 ET Streets.

You'll definitely see some improvement when you hit the track again in the fall. Then you'll have to put in a roll bar.

I'm hoping for the improvements and some new bests! And luckily they're lenient on the rollbars on rental days and since I'll barely be crossing that line (if at all), I don't think they'll be too strict on it. Honestly, I'd be ecstatic if I hit an 11.5 but I'm just hoping for an 11.6 at 118-119. Traction is going to keep me from rollbar territory for now, I believe. The tires just don't want to hook on 5k or higher launches.
