Default TH400 and VSS harness

I am doing my TH400 swap this weekend. My question is about the stock VSS harness on a 99 Z28. Will the stock harness plug into the TH400 VSS sensor or do I need the pigtail harness I have seen mentioned? It seems like some posts mention that you need the harness and some don't so I want to make sure I need it. Thanks in advance.

Well I have an update for this thread. I went and got a new VSS sensor, the one from a TH400 from an early 90's C3500 HD Pickup truck. The stock sensor wiring does not fit into the sensor. It is still a 2 wire design but the connector is a wider connector. I have been told that the connector from a 93-97 Fbody will work or you can order the one from GM/Autozone. I went ahead and ordered the harness from autozone and it will be here Friday. My question now is when I cut the stock connector off the harness which wires do I connect together from the new connector to the old wires?
