Default Broken window...not the motor.

I was putting the driver side window up and all of a sudden it got stuck halfway up, like it was hitting something. Took the door apart, and I could slide it around back and forth to make it go up, but the window itself can move side to side (toward the car and away from it). The motor is fine, it seems like I broke something off that holds it in place vertically. I couldn't see anything on the bottom of the door that had broken off and feeling around I couldn't tell what the problem was. I've replaced the motor's before, but this I have no idea. It seems like it came off some sort of vertical track. Any ideas? I can post up a video in the future if no one has any ideas. Thanks in advance.

the regulator might be fucked up... take off the motor and regulator and check it might need a new one or you can try to fix that one

It definetly sounds like either the regulator broke or some of the bolts in it backed out.

Look at this thread. This happened to my car as well and the window slid back and forth in the door. It would get stuck halfway up and I would have to slide it and raise it more. It was an easy fix if thats the case.
