I got to buy a new flexplate.
It started as just a rattle when the car was stopped in gear, now there is a minor vibration in 3rd and it even rattles in park. Guy at work told me he broke to flexplates. Whats the best one to buy because I don't want to replace it twice.

The TCI is very popular. Speed Inc markets their own brand I believe. Meziere makes a beautiful billet one but it's like $500. The GM flex plate has been upgraded to a decent one piece design. That is what I'm running. I think it cost around $125.
....I'm sure I'm forgetting as few.

I just installed a C.A.T. flexplate on my car, they run about $56 bucks plus shipping. It is a bit heavier then the stocker, but is also thicker and SFI approved.
I would unbolt your converter and push it back into the trans and spin the converter by hand and see if you hear anything. I ate a bearing in mine and it would rattle when in gear, park, and when cruising. With the converter pushed back, you might beable tos ee a crack in the flexplate if that is it.
