Help! Which headers!?!
I am considering the TSP 1 7/8 coated headers. I was getting 1 7/8 because of the bigger power potential. Do you think the LPP's are better becasue they are stainless, but smaller? Both are about the same price, i just am wondering if the 1/8" difference is enough to justify not getting the stainless.

Depends on your supporting mods. Typically you will not see the power benefits of a 1 7/8" header until you are getting to the upper ends of hp. Get what you want, just don't expect some huge power gain with no other supporting mods.

If you plan on doing heads and a BIG camshaft down the road, or a stroker motor use the 1-7/8's. If not, just use the 1-3/4's from what ive learned on here.
As far as what brand, I think they are all pretty much equal until you start looking at stainless ones and it seems people love the American Racing Headers.

If i had the money, i would get ARH, but they are just too much $$$! Also, there have been tests to prove that there are gains with the 1 7/8. Does anyone have bad experiences with coated headers - rusting really fast? Basically i just want to know if there is a big difference between XS and SS as far as wearing/rusting goes.

go stainless and buy the best you can afford. people say the budget headers are just as good as the top dogs, but they aren't. i went from Pacesetters( coated) to Kooks and the difference in quality and fitment is night and day. doing things once will cost less in the long run
