Rapid Motorsports Heads and Cam times!
I went to Cecil today to try out my Rapid Motorsports heads and cam and get some real numbers since the 12 bolt.I made the first pass around 11:30 and launched conservatively to see how the car was going to act.I did a 4500 dump and bogged but still went 11.470@122.22 with a lousy 1.72 60'. I launched a little higher, lowered the pressure to 14 lbs cold and did a 11.429.
I let the car sit for a little and did the best for the day.
60' 1.560
330 4.338
1/8 7.170
MPH 96.64
1000 9.357
1/4 11.196
MPH 122.82
I did quite a few 11.2's after that but didn't improve on my best. I still need to find the sweet spot in the launch. I added 1 lb of air and launched at 6000 rpms. I was running on ET streets on 15 inch prostar XP's. My estimated raceweight is 3600 conservatively with me in it. I took out the passenger seat, bottom section of rear seats (couldnt take out the back part since I didnt have a screw driver to fit it),use Zturd's TT2 skinnies. The front sway bar was on also.
Overall I am happy with the runs for the first time out especially with the raceweight.10's might not come this year but there will definately be changes over the winter break.I'll have some weight out of it and more power.
I also had my best reaction time ever (.009 on a sportsman's tree). The gears are howling again from the moser. Its also definately different driving on ET streets in a car with relatively high hp.

I had Mikey do a ARE stage 2 H/C set-up but I haven't gotten a good pass yet. My first pass on ET streets on a crap track gave me a 1.7 60ft then I broke the tires loose and spun 1/2 through 3rd and got a 12.5 @ 116mph. You got some badass times with your Rapid set-up. I think I will have Mikey do my 00 WS6 too, hell maybe even have him upgrade my SS too!
