gauge problems after cluster swap
I recently changed instrument clusters, and I have a couple of problems. First the air bag light is on. From searching around, that seems common, and should go out after so many start cycles (even though I've gone through a ton and it's still on)...or I can use a scanner and recalibrate it. Sencond, my volt gauge reads in the red. It didn't do that before the cluster swap. I have not tried putting the old cluster back in to see if that changes. Reading the voltage at the battery, with the engine running at idle, my hand held volt meter shows 14.5. Anyone have any thoughts?

maybe a crap factory gauge. you have 14.5vdc, that is perfect. my tach reads 3000rpm @ 80mph. i know for damn sure my motor is not that high with 2.73 gears w/OD. I only trust mech gauges for accuracy or high end elec full sweep.
