can I put a 275/40/17 on a 10.5 inch rim? If not what is the biggest size rim for this tire? Thanks for the help

A 275/40ZR17 fits on a 10.5" wide wheel, per manufacturer recs', but IMHO is too skinny for that wheel.

Can run up to a 315/35ZR17.

275 might work... but why put such a skinny tire on such a wide wheel? Id go with 315 as said above.

Thanks guys. My Nephew is wanting to buy a set of TTMs for his convertable Firebird, and I have a set of 275/40/17 bfg drag radials I was going to sell to him for $300, save him some money. But I don't want him to get a 9.5 inch wheel (always build for the future). And the TTMs only come in a 10.5 not a 11 inch wheel. So as long as he can run this 275 on the 10.5 wheel he's ok. I just dont want him in a situation because he's trying to save money, if he needs to run a bigger tire then he needs to do so.
