Default ls7 clutch

I have a ram powergrip with almost 8,000 miles on it and its already fried.

I was thinking about getting the ls7, my car puts down around 400rwhp and 380ftlbs. Will the ls7 be able to handle the abuse? The main thing I hated about the powergrip was the pedal was hard to push down, and the engage point sucked. I hear the ls7 is nice and smooth... I jsut want something that lasts for more than 8,000 miles

did you shim the ram??? did you check the shim distance? i bet the ram was just installed wrong man...not dising just you have to be one of the worlds shittyist drivers to destroy the clutch that fast. or only going to the track...i killed a spec in 7500 miles too. i dont think many clutches are bad it depends on the install. for your mods id say the ls7 would be nice but nothing more than what you have now.

Should I do a new slave as well? THe slave was replaced with the clutch. I'm not sure if I'll need a new one or not. I didn't install the clutch, bought the car with it on there. I'm a good driver but my car isn't tuned all that great so I'd have to feather it a little in traffic. As far as racing goes I'm a pretty legit driver.
