Just bought 99 vette...ls6 intake????
I know this year didn't come with the ls6 intake, but I noticed today that the intake doesn't have the egr on it. And it's not blocked either, it's just not there, like it's an ls6 intake. How can I confirm this is an ls6 intake without looking at the part #. everything else is stock minus c5 zo6 rims. So I would find it odd that someone put an ls6 intake on it, I mean don't get me wrong, I hope like hell it is. That's one less thing I have to buy

Per Wiki..:
Beginning in 2001, the LS1 received the higher-flowing intake from the LS6 and a milder camshaft to keep power at the same level; this also allowed GM to remove the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system (Camaro/Firebird only; 97-00 Corvette LS1 never used an EGR system).

with the power you are making I am kind of hard pressed to say you don't have a ls6 intake. The only way to find out is take it off and look at the underside, and see if it is flat or curved.

you dont have to take off the intake to find out its ls1 or ls6... i believe on the passenger side there are numbers on it. just grab those numbers, enter them on google and find out.
