Just swap in a 6.0L! The LS1 or 6.0L will bolt right in to were the 5.3L was and you can use all the 5.3 parts, intake, accesroies etc...

Go here! The truck site

i have a 5.7 ls1 not a 6.0

...wont a ls1 5.7 be better than the 6.0? the 6 is what is in the denali and ss right? i figured the ls1 would make it faster than a stock ss?

No if you read what i posted! I said swap in a 6.0L!!!! It will be cheaper than the LS1 anyway.

So you already have an LS1?? Or what???
If so LS1 and 5.3L/6.0L are all Gen III engines and will bolt in place of each other. Use the truck intake as it flows better than the car one anyway.

As for faster than a Silvy SS if you have an LS1 not really!

Check out the truck site like I said!!!!

This would be "faster" Buy a 6.0L LQ9 swap in cam, add, longtube headers, and a tune. Reduce your weight of your truck and go racing!
