Default 3.73s or 4.10s stronger?

Which are stronger in the stock 10 bolt? The 3.73 gears are 11:41, and the 4.10s are 10:41, but I always heard that the 3.73s are the stronger gears. Is that true?

In theory yes because you have more teeth binding together. It seems to hold true for most people they have 2.73's and all is good then go to a 4.10 set and blow the 10 bolt rear. In all honesty I think its all how you drive

3.73's are going to be the stronger of the two. However, if you're putting them in a 10 bolt, SAVE YOUR MONEY. Just wait until you can afford a 12 bolt or 9". Expensive, yes, worth it, definitely.
