Do all replacement waterpumps use the later LS2 style thermostat housings?

Do all replacement waterpumps use the later LS2 style thermostat housings? I bought a new waterpump from a local autoparts store to go the GM crate motor LS1 I am putting in my 67 Firebird and I need a thermostat housing but I am unsure of which one to get. Do all of the replacement waterpumps use the later style thermostat housings with the seperate thermostat or how can I tell for sure which one I need. Thanks
