I bought a 18/10.5 inch rim with a 54mm offset for my 94 t/a and the 10.5 rim looks wide as hell. I know i will probably have to do the bgh mod, but i bought some 5/16 spacers to go on the back too is that a big enough spacer to clear the inner fender well without scrubbin and a small enough spacer so they wont stick out.

I wouldnt run those spacers man. It just takes away threads that the lugnut would be using to keep the wheel on. Also, you risk those spacers breaking. I would just do the BFH mod and/or roll the fenders and call it day.

If you roll the finders tho wont you have to repaint the fender cuz they will start flaking paint off.

A 5/16 spacer is the maximum you can safely run without putting excess leverage on the studs (the studs break not the spacer). As stated you may want longer studs?
An adapter would need to be a minimum thickness of 1.25" thick or 1" if you grind 1/4" off your stock studs.

As for fitment, It sounds like your in the ballpark. I'm not sure exactly how they would fit however I do know there are enough variables to warrant a trial fit. Being lowered, where the panhard bar is holding the rear, tire brand/width all make a difference... keep an eye on your bump stops as well!

No man, just get them done right. I've gotten a couple of my previous cars/my current cars fenders rolled. Theres minor paint cracking on the lip that is bent up, but nothing that would warrant a repaint.

Put the wheels on, and go from there. You may not even need the spacers, and if you do, I'd recommend doing the BFH mod instead. Just my opinion.

i had OEM Z06 rims, 10.5 rear, and i used 10mm spacers. Looked perfect, absolutely perfect. Never had any issues in the three years i had the car. Only thing was on hard cornering they would rub the tiniest bit. I would recomend rolling your fenders if you use spacers.


ALSO, longer studs are freaking cheap people! If you want to "SAFELY" run wider spacers, its about $100 to have all your studs replaced with longer and potentially stronger ones

The rims look sweet. Just they looked huge width wize im goin to be running a 295/35/18 tire wise out back. I would rather not roll the fender lip i would like to be able to do the bfh mod and the 5/16 spacer and go if it will work. I would test fit the rim to see what im going to have to do but its getting the hood replaced and the front nose repainted. And i am putting a eibach pro kit on it with kyb ajx. Im running a 17/9.5 up front.

If you use the spacer, you probably wont need to do the BFH, but it would increase the chances of needing to roll the fenders.

Like I said, put the wheels on, and go from there.

With the 5/16" spacer your tire position will be about the same as if your wheels had a +46 offset.
ARP studs and maybe roll the fenderlips, then you should be good!
