Question Do any sealer go on these gaskets?

Sounds like a dumb question but do you need to use anything (sealer etc.) on the oil pan, rear cam plate, front cover, etc gaskets (like on the rubber part) or anything on the rear cam plate (where the rubber built into the metal is)?? Or just put it all together bone dry?

Pick up a book about "How to Rebuild GM LS-Series Engines" Its got lots of great stuff in there and the few spots to put a bead of sealant. I followed it on my recent rebuild and so far no coolant or oil leaks.

If I had the time I really would but I need to get this motor done asap but I appreciate the link.

Where did you put beads of sealant?
What do you do with the front, rear, valley cover, and oil pan gaskets? Just put everything together dry?
thanks
