X1 cam for an A4, should I get 112 or 114 lsa? Should I go with 114 LSA for a better idle? Will I be leaveing power on the table?
Forgive me if this is a dumb question becuase I am a newb when it comes to cam specs.
I have the stage 2e heads and a yank ss4000 coming as well.
The car will be a weekend toy with ocasional trips to the track.

Dude, if its just a weekend toy, make it a badass ****** toy. Definitely go for a 112 or so. 114's are just nice for daily drivers due to friendlier idles. Toys don't have to hit 37 red lights a day 7 days a week. Definitely go for a 112 man, especially with such a mean stall. It'd be a waste of stall if you didn't!!!

I've seen both the 112 and 114 in different cars and the 114 seems to be the one most favored by A4 cars as it's a little easier to get to idle correctly and tune.
However everyone that I've seen with it on a 112 in an A4 seems to love it so it's a tough call.
My opinion? Daily driver - 114, weekend and track car - 112

it seems real simple to me...if you are going to get good tuning then get the 112, unless you want to keep the car from sounding good. with your stall and good tuning you won't notice any adverse effects from the cam driveability wise...period...
if you want it to be more tame sounding, get it on a 114
if you want it to have a nice lope, and you don't want to hide the fact you have the cam, want to make better midrange power, get the 112
with tuning nothing is going to bother you about getting it on a 112...
my car still has the stock stall...i drive it everyday...
