coolant bypass tubes
im installing a ported ls2 intake and i called my local gm dealershp to get the bypass tubes. well, to my suprise they want 72.00 for the front one and 12.00 each for the rear block offs. first of all, do i need to change the lines? will the ls1 bypass tubs fit under the ls2 intake? second, does anyone know where i can get them cheaper if i have to change them? 3rd, if i need to change them, could i just remove the center part of the ls1 bypass, install a rubber line from one side to the other for the rear. then on the front, block off the part of the tube in the center that gets removed? thanks, shawn.....

59 bucks plus shipping from TSP for the whole kit. That's a little better than 96 dollars from the dealer.
You can modify the LS1 coolant pipe to work if you want to take that route. Some say it is better to keep the rear crossover to keep the back cylinders cooler.
