Question Clunking in the rearend?

I have a 98 camaro and everytime i hit a bump going down the road or even roll off my drive way it clunks in the rearend nothing is loose i have had it on the lift and shook stuff and checked nuts and bolts but cant find anything loose. A mechanic road in it and said it might be the rear upper shock mount is loose or broke. any ideas?

Did you look at the shock bushings to see if they are still there? Did you look at the shocks to see if one of them is broken? Same with the trailing arm bushings.

Is your Camaro lowered at all? If so make sure you have enough clearance between the exhaust and the axle where it wraps over top of it because mine was hitting before i raised it some more to keep it from hitting.
