6l80e? hey guys im not sure if this is the right section. im looking to put the new 6l80e transmission out of a vette or new camaro into my 02 Z28. has anybody done this yet? anyone have any good info on that trans as far hp levels and what not. also how hard would it be to tune in a 02 camaro? thanks again guys.

Well from what i am told it is not possible yet. The 6L80E have two computers, one internal and one external. They will only work with a vehicle that came with it. FOR RIGHT NOW. Right now you cant even buy a rebuild kit for this transmission from 95% of places. Some dealerships i have heard don't even carry parts for them. There are companies working on getting a Stand alone Transmission Controller for it as we speak but dont know ETA. Hope i helped you out
