pcm/wiring harness question f-body ls swap
Swapping a 00' lq4 into my 96 bird, what I'm wondering is what year of pcm/ engine harness will plug into my BCM(figured a 98 since it's a transition year)? if any will? I'm wanting a plug and play O.E.M setup. If none will plug in how do I go about this?

None will without modification. I believe Speartech can help you out. I'm running a Techrods harness on mine, but it's a basic setup. Since I'm building a race car, that was all I needed.
You will also need an LS1 K-member, LS1 motor mounts & stands, LS1 steering rack & LS1 steering linkage in order for the LQ4 to mount in your '96 'bird. I put an '04 LR4 in a '95 'bird, and I had to use all those parts. If you want the hood to close, you'll need to also use LS1 f-body accessories on the front of the block.

Well I emailed em with no reply, so what mod's would have to be done to get one to work? Someone has to have imput, the motors ready to go in all but the wiring not concerned with oem appearing.

The 98 harnees is easier to modify to match up to the LT1 cars but most don't want a 98 pcm or motor. If you want to do your own wiring this may help https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversio...-2000-ls1.html
