Default th400, does yours mount lower than the 4l60e?

I've noticed mines tail sits about an inch lower on the bmr th400 mount than where the 4l60e was mounted. I wouldn't of noticed other than I couldn't install my driveshaft through the safety loop because the driveshaft was too low. I just cut off my loop and was going to have it rewelded in the new location but then started thinking maybe I need to move the tranny up instead. I thought it was normal with the swap for it to sit lower but I can't find any info on it. I don't mind it sitting lower but I'm wondering how thats going to change my angles and if it will help traction or hurt it. Anyone else run into this with switching to a th400? Did you leave it or use a spacer? If you left it lower, what did it change your pinion angle to and has it caused any issues?
