Default Pros and Cons of a Victor Jr. on NA car

I've searched victor jr. vs. ls6 intake and found some useful stuff but nothing answered my immediate question and that is which would be more efficient for a na head/cam car with good flowing exhaust.

What are the pros and cons of a victor on a street/strip car??

Unless you have big cubes or plan to spin to 7,500 rpm or more I don't think you will see much gain. If you try to use a 90° elbow you will kill all of the benefits of that intake. It really is designed to work with a 4 BBL throttle body. Also, the single plane intake will want a cam designed specifically for it. I think for just a heads and cam car stick with the LS6 or similar (BBK, Professional Products Typhoon, Holley, FAST, etc.)

I use it cam only with an intake elbow. This is mainly because i have a big nitrous system installed in the throttle bore similar to a plate kit for a carb setup.

it definately is peakier in the power band.

I will put in my .02

My car ran stronger overall with an LS6 intake than it does with a ported Vic Jr.
I didn't change the cam like I should have, but with the LS6 the car was an overall performer. When I switched to a Vic Jr, it lost the low end grunt, but pulled really nice up top.

Here is a comparison-- 2 stage 200 shot on a timer

LS6 --------- Vic Jr

60' 1.31 -------- 60' 1.45

1/8 6.38 --------- 1/8 6.40

1/4 10.07 @ 131 -------- 1/4 10.03 @ 133

On motor, the Vic cost me alot. The car was running 11.6 before the swap, and went to 12.0 after. If I had it to do all over again, I think I would get a FAST

so from the research I've gathered, if I'm going to run big cubes, or FI than the Victor can be a more than satisfactory intake, For street drivability I will lose low-end power. So if I can afford it, I'm going to go with a fast intake and if I can't find one on a deal, I'll snag a ls6

Thanks for all the feedback.
