Hello guys,

I am new to your forum and am hoping you guys will be able to help me out. I have a 89 chevy 1500 with a old used and abused 305. While in the process of redoing the body work i scored a 5.3 Engine out of a 2000 chevy 1500 with 60xxx miles.

I am making a little list of parts that i am going to be needing. So far i got Motor adapter plates. and a 4l80e trans.

The fuel system in the truck needed to be replaced before the build so i went ahead and ordered a RCI 17 gallon Fuel cell. But i need some help on what to get for lines and a fuel pump/ filter setup.

I look forward to hearing and posting more as i get under way. Thanks for the help in advance.

I hear a lot of people using an external walbro pump along with a corvette style filter/regulator. I think your motor if it is a 2000 has regulator on the rail.

I think you also need to have your ECM OS merged to a 4L80E configuration...
