i am going to a pricate track rental friday and we just fit my car with some 28x13.5's on the rear so i am worried about my stock t56 crapping on me now. its the last stock piece in my drivetrain.

"Missing" a gear is one thing. Grinding the **** outta it is another. If you just smack the shift gate, that doesn't hurt the tranny as much as if you were to jam it into gear without the clutch being fully engaged and grinding it. I think everybody hits the shift gate every now and then.

Yo Brian.
I don't know if this counts but I broke the output shaft on my t56 with a 6000 rpm launch on the motor. I was running mid-high 11's at the time. If your car dead hooks then you do have a good possiblity of breaking it. You might want to let the clutch out a little slower than a full side step. Ah hell just dump it and break it so you can switch to an auto.
