Default 2002 Z/28 SOM vs. 2001 Cobra

i have a 2002 sunset orange metallic 35th anniversary Z/28 t-top, black leather, automatic, polished aluminum Zr1 wheels, drilled and slotted rotors, bassani y pipe, no cats, full hooker cat back, slp lid, 3;73 gears, detroit locker, t/a rear end girdle, and a tune. car has 96xxx miles on it. i rate the car a 9.5 out of 10.

i could possibly trade for a 2001 Mustang Cobra thats yellow, has 64xxx original miles, exhaust and some suspension work done to it. it also has a new motor from ford with all documentation with 4xxx miles on it. it is also in the same shape as my camaro.

should i trade or not? i know my camaro will drag this cobra, but i dont care that much about speed anymore. i want whichever one is worth the most and could be sold the fastest for the most money. nada and kbb both say cobra is worth more, but that doesnt mean anything, i used to be a car dealer. just need some input guys. also, if your interested in buying either one of these cars, call me at 228-264-0849. im in south ms

in my opinion the SOM Camaro would be the car to keep but its all about what you want and if you want something new to you like a cobra.

i would just say the camaro because its already kind of a rare color and it does still have the LS1 vs. a 2001 cobra which is still the shitty 2v 4.6 and idk cobra with less miles but in that year the cobra wasnt much more then a GT with a body kit and like 40 extra ponys. Now if it were an 03-04 id say go for it!

the cobra has a 4v not a 2v 4.6.

and its a total thing different then a GT with a body kit. IRS, different susp. different seats. steering wheel. alot is different

they are worth about the same IMO its what you think would sell for the most in your area. check out svtperformance and see how much they are selling for around you.

I stand corrected! I got the 99 Cobra and the 01 mixed up and yes the 01 does come with the 4v it stock numbers were at 320hp to the engine and on dynos saw numbers of only 270-280 which again is only about 40 more then the base GT 2v in 2001.

Oh and dave...I myself i owned plenty of Mustangs before ive owned my T/As and SS so i know that a Sn95 Mustang Seat is still a Sn95 mustang seat it still weighs the same, still has the same look except maybe the swade for the cobras. the susp. did come with the upgraded independent rear suspension.

every cobra made from 96 up to atleast 2004 had the 4.6 dohc motor. i used to have a 97 cobra convertible. but like i said, all biasts? aside, i just need everyones opinion on which one would sell faster for more money. i buy and sell cars alot for profit and im pretty damn good at it but this on im on the fence on and i know to ask my clientel what it is they would go for. ive had 3 5.0 mustangs, hence the username, one cobra convertible, 1997 T/A, 2000 Z/28 SS clone, and now this SOM. im basically working my way up to a 97 up corvette convertible with an automatic. ive not added any more money from the original 5.0 i got right out of high school. just turn profit on everything.
