Default Need some input, thinking I have problems....

I took the car out for the first time on the new setup tonight, and to say the least i almost left it at the track. I need any and all input possible. thanks in advance. here is my setup..

1998 trans am aprox 3200lb race weight
forged 347
Trex cam
ported heads
weiand intake, stock tb
full bolt ons
pully
electric water pump
1 3/4 headers to 3" ory with magnaflow bullet dumped
42lb injectors
walbro 255

Th400 with rmvb
stock rear end with spohn body mounted arm and qa1 12ways

heres the problems i know i have:

-as of now it just has a base tune in it, hasnt been on the dyno or had a wideband in it yet (it is a little rich and is not lean poping at all)

-the stock rear end still has a 3.23 gear in it, which i know sucks with the trex and a big converter and 28" radials

-the converter is built for a 300 hit split between 2 systems

the best pass i had tonight was a 9.117@77mph with a 2.05 60ft, the car was pulling decent in higher rpm but had absoutely nothing off the line (which i expected with the gear/tire/converter), honestly i wasnt expecting it to run faster than a 8.20 or so with the known issues, but the 9.11 really suprised me, is there anything that you guys think i need to look at or just throw a gear in it and get it on a dyno to see where its at?

sorry for the long post, just kind of bummed out

thanks again

typical nitrous converter with too much rear gearing. 60' is huge in 1/8mile racing

28inch tire and 3.23 rear gear is first problem
Getting the tune buttoned up will always help
and the converter sounds pretty tight, but that is what you need for the nitrous

and stock 10 bolt on 2 systems?!? hahahaha

good luck

not really worried about the rear end right now, ill cross that hurdle when i get to it. im going to go with a 4.56 or 4.10 gear and see how that works out, get it tuned and hit it on one kit to see what it does.

any other opinions on what could be wrong?

thanks for the input guys
