Default What are yall running for racing seats?

I want to install a set of racing seats for better support and so I can run a 5 point harness (already have a 6pt roll bar installed). Although the car will see some auto-X, it is still primarily a street car, but not even close to daily driver...

Any recommendations on where I should look for relatively inexpensive racing seats? Are there any brands that work particularly well in the F-bodies? I see a number of folks running Corbeau, but I dont want to put that much cash into a set of seats. Also, I want to set it up so its still adjustable for drivers of different height.

Thanks.

I've been very impressed with UltraShield. They are built in Tyler. I went straight to their factory and had one custom made. It was about $400.

Thanks. I checked out their website and it looks like they make quality stuff. However, that is a little more track-only than I have in mind. Any other suggestions? I've searched older threads, and am just not sure what I can order and bolt right in.

Be careful.

An aftermarket seat and the adaptor to make it a "bolt-in" and adjustable will more than likely raise the seat height an inch or two.

corbeau A4's in my old car. I recommend the CR1 from them if you are under 200lbs though.

I had a set of Corbeau VX2000's and their adjustable seat brackets in my T/A when it was my DD. Very comfortable seats and you can use a 5 point harness with them. I don't remember the brackets making the seat height higher but I can't say it didn't either.

I appreciate the responses. I was really hoping someone might have personal experience with a less expensive seat than the Corbeaus, but maybe with a little more to them than the Jegs.

That having been said, does anyone have pictures of any less expensive seats, including the Jegs seats, in their f-body. Thanks.

Recaro SPF Profil, Extremely Light. I even think they are lighter then Kirkeys. Not to mention they are strong as God himself. Held up a Full Weight Vert Cobra (4000+) after it flipped and the A-Pillar Crushed.
