first off im new to the lsx family. im used to building nitrous'd sbc. im building a "budget beater" of sorts. im dropping a 2004 gto ls1 in a 85' s10, im wanting to try turbocharging it. (GODZILLA T-76 .81 ar and 60mm wastegate) my question is, how much reliable/max boost can i run with a stock 04' 5.7 ls1. or am i wasting my time on this setup. i know i "should" upgrade the internals, and i do not have a problem doing this, itll just take more time and money. piston wise would yall recomend a diamond dish or a wiseco dish? are there any others? keep in mind i do not want to replace the crank. how much will the stock rods hold up to, stock rod bolts and arp rod bolts? any help would be greatly apreciated.
