Default V shopping: What's Missing?

Just starting to shop. Still not sure what I want, but I'm certain I'd rather buy it already modded (and prefer factory mods) than do it myself. Looks like I gotta spend ~$65k for what I want new, but what will I end up doing to it? Will it need new cat back, headers, cam? Will I want to increase the boost? What about the tranny - I'll obviously be staying with the manual, but what will I want to change on the OEM spec? Its says ~550hp, whats it gonna take to get 550rwhp?
Sorry for all the questions, but I just cant see myself staying stock, and its alot cheaper to buy it already done - or somebody elses work - than do it myself! Thnx R/

If you want it already done with a warranty I would look to Henessy Performance. Otherwise Wait 4 Me makes a ton of performance parts for the CTS-V. For the 2009+ CTS-V the forum on cadillacforums.com has WAY more info then on here.

You can look at Lingenfelter too.

Hmmm...kinda like the Henessey 650 Camaro! What worries me tho is I'll buy their LS9 package and GMPP will do it 2yrs later for lots less...also I'm always spooked by first model yr. Prefer to let someone else work the bugs out...R/

Buy the car and let me drive it for a year. I'll give you monthly reports on condition, known issues, dos and don't, etc.

A '09 CTS-V is something that I would not buy modded, or I would buy slightly modded with all paperwork, dyno sheet, etc., etc. Very few people are going to spend the money required to get 550 RWHP & RWTQ and then turn around and sell it. I generally don't like to recommend people going to other forums but CadillacOwners.Com has a ton of information available. Look under CTS-V, 2009 & above. Lingetfelter, Hennesey, Jesse Bubb at Wait4Me, D3 Research & Design, all have kits to go up to 600 RWHP. Mine is bone stock, has less than 200 miles on it, and I love it. You can get a better deal on a cash deal on the right coast where you're at.
