how high can i rev?

Have the limiter set for the cam. Hell it could rev till pigs fly but you might be making 400rwhp at 6500rpm and making 280rwhp at 8000 rpm. it mostly has to do with the cam.
Personally i would spin it no more than lets say 6800 rpm.

LQ9 cast iron block and full floating connecting rods like gen IV is a very solid fundation.
Tougher than LS1s and should stay together up to 7000+rpm if the rest of valvetrain is up to the task and camshaft is big enough to validate it.

I think the upper mgmt here should QUIT the "related threads" right below the main one, and put a link there instead. it would solve headaches like this, and it HAS happened before, enough times to be a real PITA. FIX IT!!!
