Drive or Overdrive?
I know you guys are going to tell me to search but im to lazy! I know in overdrive it will lock at like 35 mph. What is the difference between the 2 and wich should you do for cruising and wich should you do for drag racing? I have a 4l60e with tranny cooler and a Vig3200. Any help would be great.

I do burnouts in 2. Strickly bc it will go through first so fast then slam the limiter then slam into second while doing the burnout. Starting in 2 makes the wheel speed while burning out much easier to control with no shifts involved.

I drive and race in OD. A few years back when our local F-body group MFBA went drag racing, we found that OD was giving more consistent and better times compared to D. Now if your getting your transmission built, talk to the builder as it can go either way depending on how he puts it together.
