SES LIGHT COMES ON. ITS ALWAYS THE SAME THING. SES LIGHT COMES ON AND I LOOSE 1ST AND 4TH GEAR. I TURN OFF THE CAR FOR ABOUT A MIN AND THEN I TURN IT BACK ON AND I GET MY GEARS BACK BUT THE SES LIGHT STAYS ON. I TAKE TO AUTO ZONE AND THE SCAN ALWAYS SAYS SHIFT SOLENOID IS STUCK ON IVE BEEN HAVING THIS PROBLEM SINCE I REBUILD THE TRANSMISSION 4 MONTHS AGO IT HAS TRANSGO SHIFT KIT, SLEEVE DRUM ANOTHER WORDS A PERFORMANCE BUILD TRANNY AND I HAVE A YANK SS 4000 STALL. I HAVE ALREADY ADJUSTED THE SHIFT POINTS IN THE TRANNY. AND MY MODS ARE IN MY SIGNATURE. WHAT DOES THE SHIFT SOLENOID DO FOR THE TRANNY? ANY ADVICE OR ANY PHONE NUMBER I COULD CALL FOR ADVICE?

You don hav a trans or solenoid isue, You have a tune issue , The code for shift solenoid B is a comon code caused by the stall converter, The PCM becomes confused by the additional RPM caused by the converter slip and thinks the 2-3 shift did not ocur so it sets a code for solenoid B performance and then set limp mode (manuAL 2ND AND 3RD ONLY)
You need to have the test for that code removed from the tune and you should be good to go.
