Default Tranny problem

My tranny is giving me problems between 4800rpm to 5500rpm when I shift from 2nd to 3rd. It feels like my motor is running on half the motor but then after 5500 it feels strong again. It doesnt always do this. My tranny is a built 4l70e with a 4000 stall and I also have a aftermarket cooler and I bypassed the factory cooler.

Transmissions generally cannot cause a power loss. They can slip in which case the engine would rev higher than expected. It is possible the converter clutch is being comanded on?
