having trouble with 10 O clock bolt...converter install
Okay well the tranny is back up and I got all of the other 7 bell housing to block in and tight however I have been trying for i'd say a good 2 hours for the past 2 days each to get the last bolt in and it just won't go in for some reason. I am using extensions with a swivel socket. I can see the bolt going inside the hole but I guess it won't engage the threads. I think ill try from the top to reach behind the motor but I doubt it will work. I have also tried different variations of loosening all the other bolts and "shaking" the tranny to maybe line up the holes better with no luck. And yes the bell housing is flat against the block as far as I can see.
I am starting to get scared that I may have stripped the threads in the block, can I just leave this bolt out lol? This is my second time dropping/reinstall the tranny and its worse than the first!
any suggestions appreciated but I just really needed to vent
thanks
andrew
