sounds like a steal to me. I would double check though to make sure its a true 1le. I believe in 98 there were only a few made. i don't know why but 3 is coming to mind.

did some research, it may have 1LE suspension, but its not a true 1LE. There were only 3 1LE's made in 1998 and all three were SS's no z28 1LE's. In 99 there were 66 1LE's build 7 SS's and 59 z28's. But still not a bad price on the car if its in good shape. if it has the 1LE koni's on it (i believe the part number is 8525 2005-sp1) those shocks new are somewhere around the 600 a piece range.

I know this is an old post but I can assure you that there were Z28 1LE's produced in 1998 because I have one. If I recall correctly there were 99 made in 1998.

Actually I think the 99 number is fictional (or maybe US only although I think it was merely made up and repeated over and over), although I promoted it for a long time. I think the actual number is 120 something, I would have to fire up my old computer for the GM provided data. I have photos of SPI labels from several dozen '98 1LE, they exist.

There were three domestic 1LE SS in 1998, and one Canadian 1LE SS.

The heavily modded cars won't be worth much IMO.
