How much lighter is your bumper support than OEM? What makes it 'for race use only'?

It weighs about 10 pounds. It is not NTSB approved as a saftey device. That is why we call it off road or race use.

What is done with the hood latch? does the stocker bolt into the new bumper support, got any pictures.

It stays where it is. The pics you saw are of a car with the core support removed. Everything else can be removed.
