Z06 Fest = 1st time at track
Well guys i am bringing my 2002 Z06 to the fest next Friday for the drag racing. It is my first time to the track with this car. I have not been to the track in 3yrs to race (svt lightning then) and have not driven a manual car at the track in around 10 yrs lol. So i am not looking to set any records lol. I have been flushing out my clutch fluid (ranger style) over the last couple of days. Cleaned my vararam air filter today also. Man i was shocked how much dirt came out of when i tapped it against the garage floor. I will be running the car on Nitto NT05 tires. Wish i had some drag radials to run on though. Oh well my car should be around stock weight and I am 230lbs.
2002 Z06
1. ARH 1 7/8" long tube headers with 3" OR x-pipe
2. Vararam CAI
3. Vararam powerduct
4. MGW shifter
*dynoed just over 390rwhp and 380rwtq*
any tips guys?

Just lower the tire pressure and check it after each run (as it heats you'll need to drop it).
I tried launching ~3.5k pedaling the clutch and got nothing but spin or wheelhop. I think I'll try something lower next time

You've got a nice little combo.11's are possible with that setup.
For you on a street tire, is your major downfall but, your not overpowered so you may be ok.
I'd say 12.50's-12.20's all day with a 2.0-2.2 60ft if your a good gear rower.
I'd say launch @2500rpm NOT popping the clutch,... slip it a little to not overwhelm your tires... If it spins, backoff, and try a different rpm. If it hooks,... try a higher rpm until you get wheel spin,.. then back off a tad.
You'll have fun as long as you don'tmiss any gears. Have fun.
