Heim joint tie rods I am looking into replacing my stock ball joint tie rods with ones that use a heim joint and got to wondering if any guys on here use them. I remember seeing someone having them on an F-Body but I couldn't find anything by searching so I guess this isn't a popular upgrade? I think a heim joint would be more responsive and stronger than the ball joints. Also, are there companies that even offer this part for our cars?

I have them on my car. They were expensive and didn't solve anything. I forgot what company makes them but don't bother, just get a set of Moog's and be happy 
edit: quick search reminds me that they were called baer trackers. again, not worth a penny over regular tie rods.

There are mfg's that make a kit to convert your Tie-rods over to a heim joint, these kits are for adjusting the bump steer when you lower the car. Spoon Suspension is one that sells this kit. Bump steer simply put is when you lower the car the center line of the Rack & pinon is below the center line of the ball joint. When you hit a bump or your hard into a corner it produces excessive toe-in that makes the car handle like S**t. If you have not lowered the car and have no need to adjust the bump steer just stay with a quality product like MOOG.
